Background[]

The Beginning[]

Born to unknown parents a few years before the Third War, a lonely baby was sent to the Andorhal orphanage. While he grew, the matrons and patrons of the orphanage struggled to think of a suitable name for him. Eventually, they settled on not a name as such, but a nickname of sorts.

They named him Arvenjer, for he idolized the great paladins and priests of the stories he was told. He bagan to follow in the footsteps of many; Saidan Dathrohan, Tirion Fordring, Turalyon, Gavinrad the Dire and even Alonsus Faol himself. But his most important role model was the legendary Uther the Lightbringer. All these holy men made Arvenjer choose the righteous path of the paladin, but of coourse, he could not start his training until he got away from the orphanage and was old enough to care for himself.

Evacuation[]

When undead bagan to attack the citizens of Andorhal, the orphanage was evacuated to a safer one in Stratholme. Not all of the children got out, and only a handful of the orphans, matrons and patrons escaped, including Arvenjer.

At the age of 14, Arvenjer was allowed out to play in the woods. There he chased the wildlife, and climbed trees. One day, sitting on a sturdy branch of a nearby tree, Arvenjer noticed a female mage, a elderly paladin, and other knights accompaning them. Why, it was only Jaina Proudmoore and Uther! However, as Arvenjer knew that a paladin is usually on serious missions, Arvenjer let them get on with what they were doing.

The Culling[]

After a few minutes past, Arvenjer began to walk back towards Stratholme, only to be stopped by a knight. He told Arvenjer not to return, for Prince Arthas had lost his mind. The young boy acknowledged the words of the knight, and made his way to the border of Quel'thalas.

Living with the ELves[]

After explaining that he was told to get away from Stratholme, the lves eventually let Arvenjer in. He was taken in by an elven ranger, who took care of Arvenjer until he was 16. During this time, the elven ranger and Arvenjer formed a sort of bond, like a father and son. Soon after taking him in, the elven ranger found out about his wish to become a paladin. In response, the elven ranger took him to a group of Light-wielding priests, and as Arvenjer witnessed them and saw how they could control it, Arvenjer soon managed to be able to harness the Light himself. As for the melee combat part of a paladin, Arvenjer and his "father" used to fight each other around their house, and Arvenjer got to grips on holding a shield and weapon.

The Dwarves of Khaz Modan[]

At the age of 16, Arvenjer's "father" suggested that he go to Khaz Modan, and train with the dwarves, as they had more experience in using the Light and melee combat. Arvenjer slowly agreed, for he did not want to part with his "father", as he had never thought of someone like a parent before. his "father" said he would write to him, and he sorted out allowance onto a ship to Menethil Harbour.

As the boat left the harbour,Arvenjer's father stood as he watched Arvenjer fade into the distance. Little did Arvenjer know that he would not receive a letter, or any form of communication from him, for all his years in Ironforge.

After getting off the hull of the ship, Arvenjer searched for the gryphon handler, who would sort out a gryphon to Ironforge. Soon, Arvenjer set foot in Ironfogre.

Life in Ironforge[]

While in Ironforge, Arvenjer soon picked up a talent for blacksmithing. First, he was making hammers and picks, but the soon making armour for soldiers. Arvenjer soon became curious as to who the dwarves and their allies were at war with. After an eplanation, Arvenjer found out why he hadn't received any letters from his father. The Scourge had decimated Lordaeron and Quel'thalas.

Stormwind[]

While sleeping in his bed in a house for the blacksmiths, at the age of 26, Arvenjer began to feel an urge to find out about the humans - to see if there were survivors, or another human colony elsewhere. The next morning, he asked a dwarf historian. He replied with the rebuilt kingdom of Stormwind. He said it lay to the south, and to get there would take a very long time (as the Deeprun Tram was not completed then). Another day passed, and Arvenjer picked up a few maps from Ironforge and began his journey. He trekked through Loch Modan with little danger, and the Badlands with only the occasional cougar. The Burning Steppes were a little different. However, Arvenjer managed to avoid as many Dark Iron dwarves and rare dragon as he could. Redridge was not hard to get through, though, and Arvenjer went on.

It was at the Redridge/Elwynn/Duskwood border that became the obstacle. In his haste, Arvenjer picked up a map which was made during Stormwind's repairs, so it did not show the city. And so, Arvenjer took a stab in the dark, and took the Duskwood path.

Unfortunately, his journey became worse, as he decided to go into Deadwind Pass. Karazhan stood high above the mountains, so Arvenjer decided to go towards the fabled tower. Alas, he did not get far in, for he saw things of nightmare. Some say he never fully recovered after the horrors he saw.

Fleeing from Karazhan, Arvenjer went east into the Swamp of Sorrows. It was there, his energy diminished, his body weakened, and he fell to the floor. He prayed to the Light for aid, and surprisingly, Arvenjer's strength was renewed once more. Arvenjer pushed on, and into the BLasted Lands and into Nethergarde Keep. Finally asking for help, he was soon sent on a grpyhon to Stormwind.

Now[]

Arvenjer trained in Stormwind until he was 29, and soon went to fight the numerous threats in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Soon, at 31 years old, he went to fight beyond the Dark Portal, to defeat the demons and Illidan's forces. He returned, 3 years on, only to go to the Borean Tundra in Northrend a few days afterwards. As we speak, Arvenjer is fighting the undead Scourge, occasionally returning to Elwynn to see current events.
