Allegiance

While Penanna is a Kal'dorei and is indeed connected to the Alliance, she swears true allegiance only to herself and her morals. Despite any oath she will take with an order or a cause not of her own, should she disagree with their actions, she will not follow them. Penanna has proved this countless times, and has refused to aid her allies in battle when she felt it unlawful or unjust. She would even kill a fellow kal'dorei if she found them commiting what she deemed to be a crime.

Names

Her Name: Penanna, pronounced: Pehn-Ahn-Ah. A combination of the words 'Pen' which means 'one', and 'anna' which means 'gift', "One Gift" collectively.

Nor'Dal, pronounced: Noor'Dalh. A Darnassian old-name that can loosely be translated into the common tongue as "Heaven Star"

(Darnassian is a very relaxed language, and so the slow pronunciation can be enunciated. However in the hastier Common tongue, her name is usually seperated into two names; Penn-Anna.)

Nicknames: Penn, Penny. Another nickname from her childhood was "Arrow Star", given to her by other Kaldorei children learning the bow, and consequently by her mother. This led to the inspiration for her military code name; "Arrow Singer".

Family names:
Her mother's name, Forfirith means North ('For') Season of Fading/Autumn ('Firith'). With her surname, this could be understood to mean a North Heaven Star that can only be seen in the season of fading.

Of her father's name, Anu'nimor Anann'Dore, Anu'nimor is his first name and Anann'Dore his surname. In his surname, Anann means 'For a long time', Dor means 'Land/Dwelling place' and the single e means 'forth/out/away'. In his first name, Anu means 'For', Nim means 'White', and Or means 'Above'. So roughly: For the White Above, For a long time I will go forth from my dwelling place.

Her Grandfather's name is a combination of the (S) words Lim -which means clear/sparkling, Mae -which means soft, and Lith - which means ash/sand/dust. So roughly: Sparkling-Soft Sand.

Her Husband's names is a particularly lovely one. In his first name, Thala'olos, Thala simply means 'Firm/Steady/Stalwart', where Olos means 'Dream'. Interesting facts: Penanna has always carried a Bow by her side, even long before she could use one. She collects feathers - both from Aren and from other birds that she finds on her travels. She prefers a well-shaped tree branch to any mortal-made bed. She has only hated one person in her near 8000 years of life - and she killed him. She under-hunts when feeding herself and her animal companions so she has never had a full stomch - ever. She find animals to be better company than mortals - but confesses she often misses the conversation. She secretly detests her long-life, but will not kill herself due to her morals, and selfishly wishes she had died centuries ago. She has never killed anyone who did not first make it very clear they were trying to kill her and would not relent.
