July-September, Year 28 - In Alliance Hands[]

Soraya was captured by the Alliance guild, The Lightsworn, during a personal investigation into the whereabouts of her parents. Given the circumstances, they treated her well and fairly for the three months she was held in their captivity. Arrangements were made to release her back into the hands of the Blood Knight Order towards the end of September.

September, Year 28 - Suspected Treason[]

Back in the hands of the Sin'dorei, not all went well for Soraya. An official report on her circumstances can be read here: Report: Suspected Treason

September (Year 28) to January, Year 29 - The Sunfire Vanguard[]

With the suspicion of treason looming over her head, Soraya was forced into the Sunfire Vanguard. This reggiment comprised of elves with political failings, scandal in their careers, convicts or those who were just seen as too brash and uncouth for more glorified regiments. All in all, it was the bottom rung of Silvermoon's forces, sent to fight on the frontlines against the odds. Such service was often seen as a death sentence, albeit not explicitly named as such. Many who served in such vanguards do not see out their tour of duty, and such was almost the case with Soraya. After many months of hard campaigns, the Vanguard pushed into Icecrown. It was here that many of their number lost their lives, and Soraya was injured in the fighting. The Vanguard was disbanded shortly afterwards, seen as a failed waste of resources.

However, it was not all doom-and-gloom in Northrend. Although not fitting well within the Vanguard at first, Soraya soon settled into the life of the unit. She also bonded closely with the regiment's Bloodwarder, Thracen Valantir, a relationship that lead to the couple living together after the campaign was recalled.

January to April, Year 29 - Recovery and the Future[]

Soraya spent the few weeks after her injury being nursed back to health in Fairbreeze, living with Thracen as he worked amongst the locals. With her troubles behind her, she again faced being sent back to the frontlines.

April, Year 29 - Vanguard Reborn[]

The Sunfire Vanguard became reinstated, ordered to serve in the Ghostlands, tasked with clearing out any remnants of the scourge and to keep close eyes on the lingering Amani. With little choice in the matter, Soraya was sent back to their ranks.

Around the same time, Thracen also proposed to her. Their engagement isn't something either of them have discussed openly, yet.

May, Year 29 - Bloodwarder[]

With the regiment expanding there was call for a new officer to share the load. With few other choices open to the centurion, Soraya was chosen to ascend to the rank of 'Captain'. She chose the ceremonial title of Bloodwarder, to signify her predisposition to look over the blood knights of the regiment.

June - Present, Year 29 - The Outland Campaign[]

Soraya was contacted by the Scryers late into the Ghostlands stationing. She could only assume their reasons for wanting her were down to previous affiliation and her regiments somewhat sour reputation. Asked to trace and eliminate a certain Sarath Valantir, a traitor Scryer, now in service of the Burning Legion. The ever elusive House Valantir, who have pulled the strings of the Vanguard silently since its formation seconded the Scryers request, demanding the regiment deal with their wayward sorcerer. Due to the political uproar the truth of Sarath's fall would cause for the noble House, they have done all in their power to keep the Vanguard's latest military operation off the records. The campaign is ongoing, spanning across the whole of the shattered world.

July, Year 29 - Marriage[]

Soraya and Thracen married in late July. Officially she took his surname, yet keeps her own as not to associate herself with House Valantir and some of its members.

August, Year 29 - Campaign's End[]

With the death of the enemy came the end of the the Outland Campaign. Although the details were kept mostly confidential, Soraya's efforts were not without reward and finally earned her a promotion out of the Vanguard.
